Job Description

Providing support which includes tracking and tracing all export cargo and communicating feedback to both internal and external stakeholders.

Main accountabilities include:

  1. Track and trace all export shipments.
  2. Attend to customer queries after the shipment departed.
  3. Keep clients updated with shipment status.
  4. Deal with overseas agents with door to door and charges collect shipments.
  5. Comply with any specific instructions from line management which may supersede the above.
  6. Ensure that items of company or customer property and equipment are properly maintained and protected.
  7. Immediately report any damage, fault or irregularity to your line manager.
  8. Audit all consignments to ensure that freight and mail complies with the recorded information provided by the customer.
  9. Complete specific tasks allocated to you efficiently in order to attend to general exports
  10. Work diligently in order to complete the day’s work within your normal working hours
  11. Ensure you comply to Security and Safety work regulations
  12. Support management in undertaking the protective and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with safety and security
  13. Your manager may give you work instructions which does not form part of your main job description which you will need to undertake. The work instruction shall be reasonable and fair and given an acceptable time to complete. If the instruction is found to be unreasonable the employee must make this known the

Qualifications

  1. Matric (Grade 12)
  2. 1 to 2 years experience in a relevant field
  • English (read, speak & write)
  • Time management
  • PC literate
  • General geography
